Pergola / Trellis / Pumpkin Hangers

The "Boss" asked me to make some things that pumpkins can grow on. I built them so that I could hang on them at 240lbs. Later, I learned (or hadn't listened in the first place) that they are baby pumpkins. Well, they sure as Hell aren't gonna have a problem growing on these things! :-)

  1. These are awesome, I'm going to copy your idea for our pumpkins, are those 2x4's? Did you use bolts to attach to raised beds or long wood screws? Approx. how high were they? Thanks!!

  2. Sorry, I never saw your comment until now - yeah, they are 2x4s and 2x2s as crossmembers - tied together with carriage bolts with nylock nuts countersunk a bit sitting on washers. I have them standing against the raised beds down in the ground 6 inches or so. I can't remember if I threw some long screws through the legs, and into the beds or not. Hope your project turned out well!
